hi guys, question about my p38, my suspension seems ok i.e no warning lights but have noticed the compressor is working alot when in normal mode, it is not losing any air that i can tell i.e air bags not leaking and it seems to hold the air overnight, all other heights work fine and the compressor never over works on the other settings just wondered if this normal, it looks like it has had a replacement compressor recently, it seems to be on every other minute but only on normal mode, i.e motorway and high level seem fine, thanks in advance.

hi nick, yes it stays up all night on standard, it has started to get worse the last couple of days, i have only had it for 2 weeks and it is on nearly all the time now, it is actually quite loud now, the compressor seems to be on all the time, i no little about these cars but i work on trains that use air bags and tested to see if there was any leaks with our leak detector and all seemed fine, i wondered if you knew of any sensors that could be out of place so they continue to think that it needs to inflate? or any other suggestions i would be grateful. thanks

There is a pressure sensor in the valve block which i had to replace, can't remember the price but it's quite easy. Also if the seals on the pump are poor it won't get up to pressure. If you pm eightinavee he may have a pump (he supllied mine) or a seal kit.

Cheers, Nick.
