Still having issues getting my engine in. Doesn't help that I only have an odd hour every few weeks.
Anyway Landy is in neutral but clutch pedal will not move. Is this normal with engine out?

has slave cylinder piston moved down against circlip if fitted thus making pedal stiff on looking at picture again it looks likeslave cylinder has pushed clutch release fork against gear box casing so you will need to push clutch release bearingback towords gear box

Still can't get the bloody engine in though.
I can get left side in as your facing it, but not the right.
Doing my head in no matter what I do.

In neutral
Disconnected prop
Wiggling crank
Greased input shaft
Double check clutch alignment
Using crane on engine and jack on gearbox
Wiggling with he-man like might

It just doesn't want to know

Oh my dear lord! I need a shot gun to the back of the head.

As it's different engine I'm putting in, it has a very slightly different bell housing. Said bell housing had one extra stud on the bottom right that my gearbox didn't have a hole for.
Removed stud and slotted it straight it!!!! :
Wasted about 4 hours :)

Weve all done it:D

I remember gassing to a mate whilst removing truck wheel nuts and for the life of me could not get the wheel off, then i twigged I had only removed 9 out of the 10 nuts, mate was on the floor wetting his pants:rolleyes:
