Thanks BGB

checked both ends and no oil - bone dry. However have bought a new loom and will replace tomorrow as precaution.

Tonight same thing happened again no power, so disconnected the MAF plug and amazingly power was back to normal. Therefore looks like its the 2 day old sensor that's fooked. Will still change injector loom but get the MAF sensor changed for free......again !

It was original MAF sensor from LR Dealer. Have only used Original for past 3 years. Tired of the bloody things going wrong.

Engine has had remap, looking at getting a different remap which isn't so severe, shame because it feels great but is eating MAF and clutches !

No way a remap could kill the MAF.

Clutches are a different matter but just maybe its the way you use the clutch? Do you sit at traffic lights or junctions and ride the clutch rather than use the trans brake? Do you give it the beans pulling away before the clutch is fully engaged? Just some reasons why clutches dont last.

I tow heavy trailers and have a Stg2 Alive mapping and my last clutch lasted over 100k miles with loads of meat left when the engine fragged itself due to an oil pump sprocket failure.

Shifty would agree with your comments on the clutch and driving technique however I only do about 5000 miles pa in the 90 and drive quite normally. Advanced driver so do not sit at lights riding clutch, use hand brake etc.

Last clutch lasted 5000 miles, before starting to slip. The remap is a JE Engineering with a supposed 175 bhp. According to a couple of well known tuning shops the clutch should take the power easily.

Have just changed the dual mass flywheel, clutch, plate and solid thrust bearing so will see how long it lasts this time. At time of change of clutch there were no oil leakes which could have been part of the problem.
