Hi guys, to cut a long story short, I have taken ownership of swmbo D2 td5,
so the fuel light was on, put £60.00 in it, just over half a tank
Done 205 miles of mostly A roads about 20miles per day, at an easy pace, and the fuel light is on again
I work this out at about 22mpg is that correct.

Many thanks

auto if so quite possible better on longer journeys

Is ti auto or manual,

I get 27 ish a mix of driving with no long runs and average 30.5 over a longer commute on mways in a manual.

Cheers

But ref the original question, depends on cost of fuel.

Where I am it is 129.9 p / ltr, so works out on your OP at approx 20.141ish in MPG.

Cheerw

I calculate that mine gets an average of 33 miles to the gallon on every full fill up - 80 litres- if I calculate the 80 litres as 16 gallons. I get always get 554 miles. My maths could be wrong though!!!!

With the exception of not using it or putting it on a trailer, is there anything to do that would improve the consumption

Have you read up on hyper-miling, not sure how that works with an auto. But may give you a few ideas, including tyre pressures etc.

Cheers

Was going to delete the Erg valve and probably do a de cat
And then speak with Mike at dynachip to get a map done

I would wait until the MOT fracas has died down and it is all sorted before removing. Make sure if it needs to be there or not?

Getting Mike to do his magic is a good idea , but tell him if you still have the EGR and CAT.

Cheers

I've not really sat down to work out the mpg for my D2 while just pottering around, don't particularly want to frighten myself. But the last time I did a really long motorway run I reckon that I got about 30 to the gallon. I didn't exactly stick to the 56 mph recommendation though.
