Is my 200tdi really a 2.5N/A?

Ah well...ive changed fuel filter...i'll get hose in morning...other bits arriving tomorrow, change oil...see if theres any difference...

shame to burn a decent fuel filter.....

Yeps..used all sorts of snake oil...none the better...as i said..its mainly 5th...no power at all. Odd one. Boost guage should be here tomorrow so i'll wire that up and go for a tootle...

Yep..all sorted..things i did.

Full filter and oil change.
Replaced Oil breather pipe (was split)
New lift pump.
Cleaned intercooler.
Moved air intake on filter as much as poss to get away from engine heat.


Now it'll do 30mpg on a run...and i gave it the beans once to see how it went...showed over 70mph on the clock, which is average 10% under and was still more in her...but that was enough.

Pulls well on boost. Still takes 10 secs to start on a cold day but i'm going to change the plugs and injectors when spring comes as well as the fuel pipes, seem to have a slight leak on one of the injector pipes.

All in all well pleased...and appreciate the help and ideas.

Sorry to drag this up, at which point did the performance return. Having the same issues here! Used to do 85mph, now struggling at around 60

when did you last put a new fuel filter in?

About 1000 miles ago. Now can get it up to 75mph but its still needing around 90% throttle to cruise at 60mph
