Well my perfect Rangie life lasted 3 months with not a thing wrong now suspect one of the head gaskets is gone my question is can you do just one or should they be done in pairs ?? Any advice welcomed before I get at it - bloody engine has only done 40k the hose from the rad to the expansion tank had a small split behind the battery and numpty me never noticed it until she went hot serves me right for being smug

do both of em, it's false economy to just do one of em, ya know a couple of weeks down the line the otherside will fail:rolleyes:

if you where a true jock youd be thinking of the expence of stripping it again and the expense of renewing all the gaskets and splitting another hose. Sorry but your becoming a soft southern barstool !!

if one needs to ask such a question, then one should be keep well clear of spanners.

what method was used to determine a gasket was blown, and which bank is involved.

after reading all the replies I have decided to take the adcice and go back to my roots and sell the b****r after all who am I to stop someone having the joy from doing this job.
