is it possible to leave a disco without shocks?

I am now in the process of swapping bits over from an mot faliure off roader to my solid one (solid being not too much landrover rust lol)

Already done most the exterior bits but stuck on swapping over the suspension items, springs/shocks etc

I only have space to have 1 jacked up at a time, 1's on grass.

So i was thinking of buying a cheap set of springs to just hold the car up, it'll be scrapped once ive got all the bits i need off but cant leave it on axle stands.

Is it possible to only have the springs attached to just hold it up? If that even makes sense ..

yes.. springs only are fine... done it on my last one heading to the scrapper...

Yes it be fine.y dont u remove the wheels and place them under the sills and drop it on then or bricks giving u access to all 4 springs with axle movement to get them off.then when ready refit them.

Yep - shocks are not there to hold a car up - the springs do that job
