Hi all just a quick question, if i went and bought an early Santana, would i then be classed as owning a tractor, and is it more of a real landrover..
I know the very early ones were built under license and look the same ish.
So if i did buy one as they are a lot cheaper over here than REAL landrovers.
Would i then be able to class myself as being with the big boys????:D
D:rolleyes:
Id still have me gaylander mind.......

It won't be easy, but look for a Cazorla (6 cil. diesel, normally aspirated)... it will be the closer thing to the Defender, but keeping leaf and zero electronics...

Good luck!!!

Wha tengines are in the 2.5 Diesel one ten?
I have seen a couple on segundomano .es and im prety sure one of them was a Cazorla! That is the best engine then?
Also if i do look at any do they suffer from the same problems as the REAL landrovers.chassis etc or are there more little gremlins to look out for..

The one in the ad is a 2500... Cazorlas are 3.500. The idea of building the big engine is easy: you've got a 2.25, 4 cilinders; joining two engines won't be esay (no space in bay for them), so put one engine and a half... and that's it: the well know 2.25, with half an engine.

I don't know if it will be the best, but you get 94 hp... which is not bad.

If you know what you are looking for, or just one to know something, let me know it, we can check it in the Club Land Rover Todo Terreno de España, they will know what to tell you.

By the way, this weekend we have something in Peñagolosa (Castellon), just looking for snow... I know it is not close from Girona, but you never know...
