G'day lads and ladies.
I've recently purchased a discovery td5 auto as an upgrade from my 300tdi. It is a definite upgrade with the exception of this noise which I can't seem to track down.
It sounds like an unlubricated bearing type rattle coming from the passenger side of the vehicle somewhere in the engine bay. It only makes the noise in 'D' when travelling at 100kmph+ on the flat over 2100rpm. The harder you accelerate the worse it sounds. Has started intrmitently making the noise at lower speeds all in the 2200rev +band when loaded up going up hill. Have recently had the manifold gasket done so don't think it could be that. Any suggestions of where to start would be greatly appreciated, the noise is doing my head in and still have another 8000kms to get to Perth!
