It will kill your battery in no time flat at full load with the engine off:eek:

This^^^^
I run a 600W inverter off my Lister-D type. It consumes just over 1Amp for every 10 Watts of 230 Volt load or 65 Amps at full load.
A 1000 Watts will use 110 Amps at a guess, at full load. You will need very thick cables to carry that Current without Voltage drop. Run the engine to reduce the chance of a discharged battery.

i will never be using it while the engine is turned off ,as like stated above i know it would kill the battery

as for the cables ,it comes with thick cables (very thick in fact lol) that have loop posts on them to bolt on the battery so no chance of coming off

Nice.....

hate to put a damper on things but be very careful running that in a car it will get very hot at those ratings and do not put it on a seat , and always have a fire extinguisher handy for electric the powder type I always carry two

Also be careful as to what you plug into it. At that price it will be a modified sine wave inverter (i.e. square wave) not a pure sine wave inverter. Resistive loads like heaters, old style light bulbs, halogen lamps etc. will be fine but anything inductive (electric motors) and some electronics (laptops, plasma tv) might not work very well... If you Google "modified sine wave inverter problem" you will see what I mean.
