Introduction

Hi everyone.

Ive looked for a defender for over 8 years and finaly found the one for me.

I got a 1992 200tdi.

Its been almost fully rebuilt.
Galv chassis
2 inch lift kit
New clutch
Recon gear box
Recon trannybox
New steering box alternator ect and much more.
To say im pleased is and understatement.

Ive looked at this site for years but only veiwd as a guest.

Fair play to you, it sounds like you've done your homework. There's plenty who come on here and are shocked that their pride and joy has disappeared and although they'll spend hundreds on wheels and winches they pay no attention to the crap security of a Defender

Would you recomend anything else mate.

The car is my everyday motor now.

Ive reaserched since i was early 20 and bout one last week at 28.lol.

I was thinking of fitting 2 forward facing seats in the back but the price puts me off as we have another car for the 4 of us.

Ive seen fold up minibus seats been used but not sure if its good

Just added a couple of pics.

I only need to add a snorkel and sum on/offroad bigger tyres and im more than happy.

Was a nice bloke who gave me receipts of over 11 thousand pound plus the price of the landy .

Hes fitted a raptor controll panel with turbo
Oil
And voults gauge

Spot lights front and back and a rear veiw camera .the camera just needs linking to a new rear veiw morrow which he gave me with a forward facing camera.

He put a new headlining and soundproffed allover.
New mats and full load area and arches covered with defender thick rubber matting.

Poor bloke had heart attack last year and cant work on it no more.

Ive kept intouch though and he offered to help with any jobs

Also fitted with a removeable towball.

Plus a nice fitted toolbox whick locks behind the bulkhead.its full of brand new sockets towing strapps ect.

He gave me new chequer plate to fit on bonnet when i get a chance

New disk and pads all round.and both axels side to side fully rebuilt (recon)
Wheels shotblasted and brand new tyres.all this has only done 1000 miles.

The engine is only origional and and coverd 150000 miles.starts well and no rattles or knocks.
