Hi all, greetings from sunny Lanzarote. We recently became the new custodians of Phoebe a 2000 diesel freelander.
She was sitting unloved in a garden for nearly two years, all I had to do was get her back on the road ! Easier said than done thanks to spanish laws, no insurance no mot, no mot no insurance !
Still managed to get her trailered to local grease monkeys who checked her over and took for test. Unbelievably she passed so can enjoy her for a whole year.
Already had spill pipes fail and now water pumps decided to leak so I guess there really is no such thing as totally free.

Welcome to the world of Land Rover ownership :)

At least with the climate out there rust shouldn't be an issue, and that's the biggest issue they generally have mate, so enjoy !

Hi forgot to say being not much more than twice the size of the isle of wight yes I'm afraid rust is a big problem here especially as we use desalinated water for car washing/windscreen bottles etc
