HI GUYS, MERRY XMAS TO ALL,,
I HAVE A STRANGE ONE TO TRY AND SORT OUT, THE CLIMATE SCREEN IN MY 99 P38 V8 READS 28f WHEN ITS AT LEAST -5 OUT SIDE IN THE SNOW, THE LITTLE TEMP READING HAS ALWAYS BEEN FINE AND HAS ALWAYS INDICATED THE SNOWFLAKE SYMBOL AND BEEN VERY ACCURATE WITH ITS READINGS UNTIL YESTERDAY, GOT OFF THE M25 AND IT SHOT UP TO TROPICAL FIGURES (I WISH), CANT FIND THE SENSOR UNDER THE BONNET TO SEE IF ITS ICED UP!!, ANY ONE HAD THIS STUPID PROBLEM BEFORE?

Firstly, STOP SHOUTING, its not well received on this forum.

You have set your temp to farenhight (excuse spelling), hence the F after the temp. 32 degrees F is equivelent to 0 degree C. So -5 would be 27. So it looks to be accurate, its just you have somehow (mistakenly) changed the display unit. I imagine a quick dig into your settings or manual will tell you how to change it back.

yes he has set it to F but you can't just subtract 5c from 32f and get 27f

c = (5/9)*(Tf-32) Tf = (9/5)*Tc+32;

27F =-3C

sorry guys didnt mean to "SHOUT" , didnt mean to, just taken another look, its reading 29oc !! not "f", so i got that wrong for a start, but thats defo a wrong reading, any ideas???,
