Hi All,

Since my Alternator issue a little while back I have noted that my internal clock is losing about an hour a day. I have recently checked that my Alternator is working but putting a fluke across the battery terms with engine off and measuring (13.x volts) and then with the engine running (14.5 volts)

I would not expect the clock to lose such amount of time over night and the battery is still showing correct voltage..

I am worried that I will lose everything again and normally, small electrical issues like this are a sign..

My Battery was new last December, and the car has a good run most days (50+ miles)

Is there anything else I can check before looking at replacing the battery as a precaution..

Thanks as always

Tim

Replace the clock itself?

I'm sure I'm right in thining that a clock's accuracy doesn't depend on the battery voltage, unless it's below miniumum required, and anyway your battery seems to be okay.

Well, gotr a round to looking at the problems on my truck today and the clock issue beingone of them.

I managed to get the cables off the back without removing the dash :D and put a fluke across the cables.

I think I have found out now that the clock itself isnt the issue.

Fluke readings show 14.5 volts with engine running, 13 volts with the ignition on, and when off, the voltage starts to fall to below 12 volts..

I have also had intermittent horn issues, in that it will 'parp' when driving along for no reason, so lifted the fuse box, reseat the connectors (3 in all) and put everything back.

I need to find a wiring diagram for the 2000 Vogue. Rave doesnt have it (unless I missed it).

Any ideas?

Thanks, as always

Tim

You must have had a busy winter!

I've bought two cds off eBay for the RAVE manuals, one had jusr RRC P38 and Disco I, the second had every LR ever made almost, and that has the ETM for 2000MY. So maybe you should look out for one on eBay that is described as such.
