Hi all, take it easy on me please as it's my first post.
I have a discovery 1, details should be on my signature if it worked.
Giving the disco a bit TLC recently and thanks to searching this forum I've got most things sorted or soon to be.
Had mixed answers when searching about my wiper problem tho, so could do with a bit info please.
When I have my intermittent wipers on they have recently decided not to return back to the starting possition and just stop anywear.
Is their a relay that could be causing this ? or do I need a new wiper motor as I believe on the disco's you can't remove park switch.
All other electrics seem to be working ok if this helps any .

Just had new filters, oil, plugs and leads.

When work and the wife gives me a chance it's time to free the diff lock lever and replace leaky oil pressure switch.
Think my searching on here has got me ready to fettle the diff lock lever.
It was a bit tempremental last winter so I vowed to put it into diff lock at least once a month to keep it free'd up, but I never did untill it was too late lol.

Any help with the wiper situation muchly appreatiated.
Then I'll as about the cat overheat light coming on till it's warmed up :D

My last Disco had the wiper problem and I know there were a one or two others who did too, at the time. I hoped it was a relay so if I remember right, I swapped the rear wiper relay for the front one but it made no difference so it was the park switch which like you say, you can't change. So I, like the others, became a dab hand at switching the wipers off at exactly the right moment! It got so's if I was driving a different car or me work van I would still turn the wipers off just as they reached the park position! :p

ps Yer signature didn't work! :)

A perfect first thread! Nice. No idea but someone please help this one! Just don't ask what size tyres u can ge on it and I think u will do just fine

Thanks for the quick replies.
I was hoping it would be a relay, but sounds more likely to be a new motor needed.
Looks like I'll be getting used to switching them off at exactly the right time aswell lol. Just like my old B reg 90.
