intermittent starting freelander

Hi all.
Ive got a freebie 1.8 gs 02 plate 73000 miles.
About an hour ago i jumped in the car turned the key (all dash lights,fan ect all on) and nowt.
No lights dimming,so not earth issue i am thinking,just nothing.
After about 10 attempts the car turned over and started!.
any thoughts on this?.

dodgy starter motor?

Yep have had the same, starter motor

key fob maybe??

sticky solenoid in the starter would be my guess.

or the ignition switch itself.

the switch is easy to get to and clean but the starter would need to be replaced as there isn't a refurb kit for the k-series apparently.
