fuse kept blowing intermittently, traced it to the wire for the vanity mirror light (the supply for the light in the mirror in the sun visor) but the one above the Drivers visor (redundant in the right hand drive model,but the plug and wire is still there in side the head lining). it was trapped between the right visor mount and the roof and after 12 years the insulation finally went through and started to short out
 
Check for water coming in from the light above the mirror. The aerial hole sometimes leaks.
 
A rare thing to happen from what I've seen on FL's. If an option isn't fitted you'll probably find the cable tucked away. Yer would hope it would be safe. The fuse it there to protect the weakest link which is the wiring so it's done it's job but not what yer would want to find happening. At least there's no damage.

Manufacturing fault, I'd call LR customer service :)
