The front i terior ligjt for power. Yu could hace them switvhed together, or the rear one switched by the rear door. Your choice. Wiring em up would be slightly different tho.

Run a purple wire from the power side (purple) on the front switch thru to yo new switch. The switch yu have is normally an overide switch. Run an earth (black wire) from the switch to ground. If yu have another contact - yu run an earth via a door switch, so it comes on when you open the door. Tiz a simple circuit, but i cant draw yu one at the mo, ciz i am on my i-phone.

power -\- ground
-\- ground(door switch)
best i can do - soz:(

No idea. A fuse blows because too much current is being drawn thru it. Have yu touched the lectrics yesterday? If not, possibly a wire has worn thru and is shorting to ground. Try tracing the wire from the fuse and/or isolating sections, to try and ascertain which bit is causing the problem. Sometimes replacing the fuse with a lightbulb helps, cos it wont blow, but shows when the circuit is still faulty.
