Hi all ,i ordered a used interior light on EBay and quickly fitted but no smiles,I have power to the 3pin plug and also the other interior lights are working ,and yes i have checked the bulbs :)

yes very true ,but that surely would be un-lucky for both units to be faulty, ive checked the bulb contacts, but im not quite sure as to the power source,im guessing that there is to sources one direct and one from door switch ?

There are 3 wires going to the interior light. One is black, which simply goes to ground, so the map ights and centre switchs can turn the relevant light on.
There's a purple/ white IIRC which is the live feed from the fuse box.
The CCU then applies a ground to the 3rd wire (can't remember the colour off hand).
So if you don't have any lights, either switched of automatic with the door, then the main feed is suspect. If you have lights on the light switches, then the live and ground to the light are fine. This would leave the CCU at fault, as the horn would sound on locking, if a door switch was faulty.
