I liked that read & I still think the FL1 looks more rugged than the FL2.

I do like the colour of your FL2. I've seen a couple for sale in that colour recently, sadly well above my price range.

I think that's pretty common to the whole LR range - as each model is replaced, it looks less '4x4' and more 'SUV'.

When the Freelander 1 was designed the look it had was typical if 4x4's of that design era. The Freelander 2 got what they call the chiseled look which yer also seen on the d3 and first edition rrs. LR were already adding int design cue's ter the Freelander 1 but when BMW got involved after buying lr they pushed for more design cue's ter be added. Eye think they made a good job of both the 1 and 2. Eye prefer the look of a car with a happy, calm stance as opposed ter an aggressive look like the front of BMW's.
