We're talking about a 1995 P38 DT.

About a year ago I posted up a picture of a pipe covered in oil and asked what it was for and pretty quickly was informed that it was the pipe between the turbo and the intercooler, it looked pretty doggy and at £5 I should replace it. Well, all other jobs are pretty much done now so I intend to start on the less serious ones!

So, I'm going to take the intercooler out and flush it and replace that horrible pipe.

Q1. Does anyone know the part number for that hose? Is it just the intercooler pipe ESR3289?

Q2. While I've got the thing out, are there any other cheap hoses that are worth replacing?

Anything else you think I ought to be aware of considering I've never done this before? Had a look on here and everyone seems to think you don't need to remove the battery compartment. That's a good job because I wasn't planning on doing that unless I had to!

Cheers,

J
