Am I right in thinking vans a cheaper to insure than cars? ie a vauxhall astra van is cheaper than a Vauxhall Astra estate car?

Same with 90's/110's if they are a 'van'

nope.

a 110/90 van is commercial and ought to be subject to commercial insurance.

range rover is cheapest for old uns and disco is cheapest for new.

90 are getting dear cos of the amount of nicked ones around now....

Nope a 90/110 is dual purpose or was until 01/01/2010. and I is got car insurance on my 90 In fact I had to add business use onto it so I could use it to get to work & carry tools etc.

Oh right, I was always under the impression vans were cheaper to insure as a lad I went to school with had an old Fraud Escort van insured Third Party Fire & Theft but it always sat at home earning him a no claims while he run around on his dads insurance. When I asked him why the van he said because it was cheapest to insure. :S
