Have just bought a 130 tdi last weekend, and would like to know if anybody knows where i can get this thing insured. The problem is that i live and work in holland, but want to keep it on english plates, because the road tax here is around 1500 quid a year, on dutch plates. I have tried a few insurance companies but they will not insure me as iam not a uk resident but have a british passport.
Please does anybody have some information.
Many Thanks

So you want a British insurance company to collude with you while you defraud the Dutch Government?
How are you going to register it if you're not a UK resident?

Woudn't you do the same if you had to pay 5000 quid BPM ( that is a stupid tax that the dutch have on cars) and pay 1600 quid a year road tax.
no.
Poles etc come over here driving around in foreign motas paying no tax, etc all the time.No way of tracing owners or inforcing speeding tickets etc.
