Hiya,

Im new to the word of landy's and thought about buying a series 2 last year. But couldnt get insurance cheap enough. I think the cheapest quote i got last year was about £2000.

Im still really wanting to get one. Im 20 in november, but have no no claims bonus. Is there anyone on here who is of the same age and has managed to get cheap/ cheaper insurance? Does anyone no of any insurance comapnies i could try that specalise in landrovers or old classic cars that could be affordable?

Also havnt properly hunted around for spares and stuff yet, but where does everyone get spare parts from?

Thanks for your help
James

welcome to Landyzone

I got a quote for my dicscovery from Admiral for £600, looked about the mags and asking people got it down to £150 is from FranK Piclkes, and thats with mods, get a mag and do some calling, you may be supprised.

Just had a quote of Tesco - currently used to insure the wife's Jimny but changing to a Defender 110 next week. From £250 to £680!!!!!! So checked Swiftcover - £250. Might well go with BMW Insurance though - £350 but really good cover (use them for the 335d).

Defenders definitely ain't cheap to run!
