er indoors xtrail renewal came thru..£275 fc with lv

went on line on the meercat..and the price with lve was £213..
so i rang lv and they said ooh thats a big difference we cant match that but we can do it for £268

hang on i said your the same company and ya cant match your own price?

no but you can cancel your existing policy when renewal is up and take out the cheaper option.with us still

wtf are theese guys on or is this the norm?

i know tw@ts surely to save all the paperwork and admin they would just match the price

i'd tell them to stick it now.... anything else get you a comparable quote?

Here's a little tip to get the commision back from your insurance.

use the meercat / compare the market to get the cheapest or best quote BUT put one detail in it wrong e.g. put your birthday in wrong by one day, once you've found the quote you want log into Quidco.com and contact your chosen insurance company through the quidco website, input all your data and you'll get a similar quote to the one from the meercat then buy it through quidco.

The difference being that in 3 or 4 months you will receive the commision that would have gone to the meercat/compare/whoever.

For example the doris's car costs £175 a year fully comp and I just got back £75 = £100 year fully comp inc breakdown.
