there are 2 knobs on my instrument panel. i know one switches the odometer to trip display and when held in rests the trip. but what does the other one do?

i cant see any effects from pushing it in.

its on the left hand side of the speedo

You are correct - It does...................nothing!

Maybe it's there...............to look aesthetically pleasing and give a balanced effect due to it's inherent symmetry.

Bolloc*s - it's another LR f*ck-up mistake - or is it? :blah:

Don't know if it's reliable info but read somewhere it's for scrolling through instrument diagnostic mode.

Maybe like some Jags press and hold while turning ignition to position 2......??

For overseas markets it is the outside temp, I read somewhere on a Canadian forum.
See this pic:

Some years ago I found this, I think it was a Canadian forum. I asked where the sensors would be and if they could tell me more about it, but the topic died without answers.

would be interesting to find out if its possible to retro fit sensor so you can outside temp or just listen out for the FBH then you know its below 5 degress if its still working:rolleyes:
