Instrument light dimming issues!!

I just made sure that any spare money i have in the future is well and truley guzzled and bout me a 4.0/ lpg RR!!

Among the list of problems, the one that is bugging me the most is the instrument lights.

At night when i adjust using the dimmer switch it does brighten...........but at the end of the range goes back to virtually off!! So i cannot see a bloody thing.

It affects all the dash and centre consol lights so am guessing a new indicator stalk???? If so are they easy to change??Is there anything i need to be aware of??

have you tried going the opposite way and seeing if it goes to the highest possible setting?

i think it should just go to the brightest and stop tho!!

if you have elec seats and the memory function, if you set the brightness and then press memory button and which ever number you want it also stores the dash brightness settings!!

I have tried setting to brightest setting, it then doesnt stop and goes off- or may as well be. Basically it won't stay bright!

ahhh, i see, i dont think mine even works, i cant remember using it!

i would suspect a new stalk will be the best option! the little contacts wear out inside!

if you can get the stalk off you 'could' put a blob of solder on the contact and file it as a short term fix but its probably better just to replace it!

if you download rave cd it'll be in there on how to swap em over!

where is this dimmer feature? lol
