Silly thing, but reading above, it sounds like it may need to be in KM .

have you tried changing it on the dash to be in KM, and then updating it?
 
Update:

Chimes were seat belt warning so switched off. All warning lights working that need to work. Still on low mileage but I will see today if I can sync when it is in km instead of miles.

I read somewhere that after 16 times ignition it will sync to the higher mileage anyway, so I hope that is the case if the syncing fails to work
 
One more thing; My oil pressure switch doesn't go on, I can't remember if it did on my old instrument cluster.

Would it confuse things if I put my old cluster in to check?
