Looking for a bit of advice on installing central locking in my defender. I have bought a hawk kit off eBay but I don't really want to have 2 separate fobs, how easy is it to connect it into the current alarm and use the original fob or failing that can I code any kind of fob to work with the factory alarm and immobiliser?

My hunch is near enough impossible. The two systems could well use different frequencies let alone code types. What may be possible is to use a wire from your existing alarm if there is a spare for something like window closing that is not used and use that to trigger the central locking. You would the only use the actuators and delay circuits from the Hawk kit but I suepct you would have to make up some electronics to sequence the lock / unlock.
I would start by looking at the existing alarm and seeing if it has any spare wires then testing to see what they do.

I’ve been told the easiest way is to buy a second hand little green box that interfaces with ur alarm engine etc this will need pairing with ur ecu this comes in types with or without central locking? And sends a pulse to ur central locking system I’m told the discovery td5 is same unit but if u can get defender better I bought one off eBay £15 the cost of pairing is based on if u know anybody in trade £20/£40 ‍♂️ But it can be done you’ll need the actuators/solenoids for locks I did mine but used Landrover second hand parts and some parts interchangeable different numbers but same part ‍♂️
