Inspection hatches.......

I heard off a little bird that the dealerships sometimes dont bother to open these hatches. Suprise suprise! I am going to see a Disco thats for sale, where are these hatches and what should I see in them? Or are they not worth bothering with?

inspection hatches? maybe a term im not familiar with hope some shines some light on this

Only hatch I can think of is the plastic 'hatch' which can be removed from the engine undertray instead of removing the complete tray????

Mine has been missing since I got the car!

Otherwise I have no idea.

Perhaps the little birdie has been led a stray by some bloke in a pub. I'll interrogate as to source of phantom hatches rumour......

Um, think it be BS, maybe the little birdie was talking about those oil tanker things that float about the sea, hear there full of them.

Could they mean the little bit of plastic that holds the transfer gear lever gaiter in place ?
