Looking for a respectable company, individual to do a 200tdi (no gearbox change) or 300tdi (gearbox change) in a ex MOD 110 I am looking at, also put on bits and bobs, get it resprayed and do some cosmetic, minor changes, wolf seats, etc.

I would also like MOT and tax (with my funds of course). So I can fly in from overseas, pick it up and do an excursion.

Ok. Major factors here are;

Do you already have the vehicle and where?
Budget?
Overal purpose as in overland expedition or green laning?

If you have a healthy budget and want a full job doing then Nene overland are top banana. But other than that there are lots of other places

Thanks for the reply, I know about Nene, vehicle is in the UK, released from MOD last summer, it is currently in storage, no MOT or tax, has not been registered, has all new shocks and springs, wolf wheels and new tyres, excellent chassis, outriggers and rear crossmember. 2.5 NA ngine was replaced a few years ago, but want an upgrade. I am not looking to make it an expedition/green laning vehicle per say, want it to stay as close to military as feasible, only non mil bits would be a cubby box, looking to respray in sand or nato green, want to add wolf seats in the back and wolf seats and wolf accessories and seats in the front, adjust brakes, check lines etc. It will go off road as a usual Landy will, no trekking (don't need any of that) Do an engine swap, get it in A+ condition before arriving to drive cross country. I just did 4000km in my 90 and want to do it in the 110 but head south into Morroco this time. So whatever it cost to upgrade engine and or tranny, adjust all componets, replace worn parts if necessary, repaint, MOT and tax.

Landrover restoration and sales - Yorkshire, uk

he's been around for years, used to be about the only place for ex mil spares, and was the pass phrase for getting hard to get spares anywhere in the country.

as in, "no sir, we dont have/cant get them, oh, jake wright you say, ahh, well then, come out back..."

Hes done quite a few landys for export over the years

depends on what your after a disco 200 tdi would be a cheaper job than finding a 200tdi defender spec ,just a used engine or rebuilt in part or whole, respray in nato paint is a simple job and not expensive ,its all straight forward work and there are loads of specfialists that can do it been sure of what your expecting of engine conversion before you start is important ie you could get a used disco 200 fitted for as little as £600 or a fully rebuilt defender fitted for £3000 plus add £400 ish if you wanted new turbo or anything in between ,its well worth been sure what your after then getting prices accordingly

Cracking info guys, that is good location since the vehicle is in North Yorkshire!! I am planning on keeping the landy for a while and would prefer a Defender engine.
