are they easy to get off, it doesnt look too bad according to the haynes manual but was wondering are there things i need to watch out for , easily broken etc.

Ive been trying to search for the gaskets, has anyone got a link or company name please

thanks so much again guys and once again so sorry to be such a nusience

As the gaskets are rubber, you dont normally need to replace them as they are reusable. If you do want to replace them then about £15.00 for the full set,

There easy to take off, the gasket as sed are rubber ring inserts and normally replacable . . . .when putting back i use copper slip anti seize ,do bolts up hand tight and even [its plastic to ally] then a nip all round ,if yer not confident wiff spanners use a torque setting :):):)

How did you get on with this. About to do mine. If I knew there was complications I might leave it to my mechanic. Also anyone know where I can get a cheap egr pipe. It runs from the other end of the egr. It's like a corrugated metal pipe 15cm long. Mine ruptured so I have botched it at present.

i've just bought a new superflow egr bypass hope it arrives while i'm off work as I want to replace valve and clean inlet manifold while i'm at it. Hear it is well worth while carrying out this mod, any thoughts on this lads

bypass kit works great - going to clean my manifold out with petrol/oven cleaner soon.
on my previous td4 i did the same mod, but the four ports that go into the engine from the manifold were alos crudded up with black soot but i didnt touch it in case anything fell into the engine block!! anyone know of a sweet method for cleaning this crud without any dropping into your valve ports?
