hi

ill be starting the process of fitting my egr bypass in the next few days. I have bought new inlet manifold gaskets (only a few quid) from land rover, but my question is a know there are 4 round gaskets that fit the round port holes. Now I was told these were the only inlet manifold gaskets. However looking at the RAVE cd, am i right in thinking that the square port holes have gaskets to? Sorry for the question, im just learning my way round engines.

Yes they do. . . . .but the good news is these are made of a type of neaprene ,and as such do not tend to decay. . .but be carefull prying them out, wash in warm soapy water and dry out , use heat proof anti slip [copper slip] to put them back [its a plastic manifold ] so great care as to tightening up ,if your not used to this type of work then always use a tourqe wrench, but if you are then tighten up and a nip:) :) :)

thanks for the reply ming, i was hoping you would reply as you posted the main egr bypass thread.

is it worth replacing them if they are cheap enough or am i wasting money? just wondered seens as i got the round ones.

cheers
