Injector pipie leak

Is this what mechanics do when they replace an injector, say? Surely not! Didn't happen when I had a new injector this year:confused:

The problem, Baron, may just be the nut on that particular pipe needs carefully doing up a bit more. Has it been undone recently?

Most manufacturers advise change them every time, some will reject a warranty claim on an injector if the pipe isn't changed! Don't know LR procedure. But most of the time you can reuse them! Just have to be careful of the really high pressures involved cos it can kill you!!!!!!

:pThe only thing i can say that you two must not have a life if all you can do is find fault with posts instead of like most people on here willing to help others

more than willing to help, however, as the saying goes, help us to help you.

did you really expect me to go trawling through your posts to try and find out what engine you have, when you could have simply put it in the title and/or post ?

I find your attitude a little irksome, but sincerely hope you get your problem resolved.

Ordered pipe today £24.22 inc vat and p&p after driving car today if i keep it down to 2000 revs no leak only when i push up the revs it leaks tried tweaking it up but no beater don't know if its after fitting tuning box it shown the weakness up only pain is having to take manifold off to fit oh well the joys of driving

Possibly due to 30,000 psi that can be in them! If one doesn't seal for one reason or another you aren't going to make it!

That was my thoughts trying to tighten to much could damage rail seat or thread so best to replace bit messy having to take manifold off but that's what days off are for just have to wait for pipe to turn up now

Hi well fitted pipe and still have a leak runs fine at 50miles per hr approx 2000 res and no sign of diesel take her up to 70+ 3000revs diesel all over its not from the pipe so could the rail its self be faulty As anyone had a faulty injector rail:confused:

:confused:Hi after changing the injector pipe to the common rail still have diesel leak so i put a barer between the top of the rail to the injector and proved its not from the top but some were underneath and the small well near rail was full of diesel so its been sprayed up making it look like the pipe To ask the question do the rails go faulty or is it something i'm missing

The return pipe is ok looks like its the high pressure rail were the nut goes in the end trying to get some info to see if you can re seal the nut:confused:
