Hi guys
I've been taking my Freelander to LR specalist for the past 12 months. After its last service the guy said he felt the motor was 'slightly underpowered' (feels ok to me and it's my second TD4) and suggested that running an injector leak off test would be a good idea.
It's going in for tyres and brakes next week and I thought I'd get the test down at the same time, until I got quoted 1.5 hours labour to do the test - yipes
My motor is a 2006 td4 and has done 55,000 miles, for the last 12 months it's always been run on good quality fuel (shell V power diesel) and occasionsional shot of Redex. As for the previous owner and 40,000 miles - who knows, although it has got a full dealer history so I'm assuming it's been looked after.
Should I try a quality injector cleaner first? If so, can someone please recommend one that they've had good results with please?
Thanks in advance.
