300tdi auto with EDC wont start noticed a rattling sound coming from the Injection Timing Solenoid

never noticed this before has anyone else come across this and should it make this noise

edc solenoid in the pump should buzz (loud if high mileage or quiet if low mileage), if it is rattling they it has failed and will need changing.
