injection pump timing data needed

Hi,

I have a 300tdi auto with EDC pump, R 500-1

the front seal was leaking so i replaced it, however i don't seem to have got the drive plate back in exactly the right place.

Does anyone know the correct DTI reading for this pump when at TDC.

How easy was it to change the seal? mine is pouring out diesel.

not to bad,

the biggest problem is that the drive plate is not keyed to the shaft. the manual pump has a locking screw but the fly by wire i have seemed not to have this locking screw which makes it very difficult to get it back in exactly the right place, which is why my timing is out.

Your pump drive needs to be spot on !! Also has to be set at the correct cylinder firing position!! You would be best to take it to a specialist and have them set it for you!! With a dtc gauge !!

I don't need a specialist to set it up for me, i just need to know the reading for this pump, I have all the equipment needed just not the data.
