Hello all,

Im new here at this forum, and Im looking for a couple of weeks about info about my injectionpump. Ive completly recon my engine with pistons and bearing etc, and today it was its first run! But I noticed that the engine RPM are low at cold start, but after drivin about 5KM, after stopping at a traffic light, the engine starts to revv up, and I need to stall it to put it in first gear, slightly let the clutch up, and after put it in the right rev, the engine remains in the right RPM, but after a couple seconds it starts to rev up again.

Replaced the boostdiagraph, checked the turbo of leaking = ok. No leaks. Lift pump = new.

Engine is drivin like a dream, lots of power in a series.. But I dont know where to look now.. It is the pump?? Did anyone had the same problem? And does anyone have a pump here for me, for a nice price?

Sorry for all the questions, but I dont know where to look anymore, I just wanna drive it..

*Sorry for my bad english...*

Its was the pump adjustment. Apparantly the stationary adjustment isnt the same as the bosch type pump on the Land Rover. On a Lucas CAV DPS pump the throttle lever is not the way to adjust the stationary RPM. Is the screw at the returnpipe of the injectionpump. The Dieselspecialist told me to adjust the lever back till there is 2 a 3 MM no response on the pump when you use the throttle lever. And then adjust the wanted stationary RPM with the little lever at the returnpipe. Its now drivin as it should, and happy with the result as it is.

Didnt knew you had to adjust by this way.. Thought it was like the bosch type way.

Hope this was usefull.

Cheers, Robbie
