info please

hey guys , as i still a newcomer to this site and to owning a range rover ive got a couple of questions
1. i see a lot of posts on here about trouble with "blocks"
i know what the block is but what is the trouble with `em and how do you know when your getting trouble ??
2. why is it when i get in mine and start here up and move off do i get a loud beep coming from somewhere , i know it aint seatbelts cos i wear mine , is it a warning for something ?or is it just normal?

Hi, welcome.. Not sure about the block.. But look at your dash info warning board.. If it beeps a message scrolls to say what the problem is.. Ie bonnet open, rear door open . Bulb failure....

never noticed anything on the dash lights , the beep sort of cuts out the stereo for a split second , it doesnt affect anything , it just bugs me!!!

sounds like a door/tailgate open warning, maybe a sticky switch, as for the blocks, there are good and bad, and as a friend said recently unless they are made of glass you might never know til it starts to go! usual things to look out for water in the oil, white smoke from exhaust, over pressurised coolant header tank, im sure the guys will have more things to add, on mine i had no signs at all and I got a partial seizure, on stripping it i found the head gasket had gone and No4 pot was carbonising oil, i think the bits blocked the oil pump momentarily causing a dry spell enough to cause a partial seizure. so you dont always get the signs!!

its the phone kit. Remove stereo and the kit plugs inbetween the wires. Just remove it
