Indicators/hazards not working

Hi

Can you please offer advice.

Freelander Xdi - 2000 (W) - manual - diesel

Indicator lights are not working and neither do hazards
Hazard switch is working as warning light shows up on dashboard
I know all indicator bulbs are working as when I lock/unlock all flash
Fuse (F8) for indicator lights appears ok

Any ideas pleas?

Try a new flasher relay, in fuse box under steering wheel, bottom row extreme right. Just fitted this one myself and it works fine. Ebay item no 220535201856. Less than a tenner inc postage.

As I can not find the way to start a new thread I try it here:
My FL Td4 2003 5door Hazard warning lights do not work.
The indicators work fine.
And more when I lock or unlock the car/doors with my remote
the indicators lights do not flash.
Fuse F8 is oke (when I take it out the dash lights are all out)
Can it be the hazard warning relay or the switch and where can I find it?

Fuse 7 in your engine bay fuse box is worth a check first - feeds the relay and switch apparently

Yes it was fuse 7 in engine bay and not fuse 7 in passenger side (for me driver side)

missing, what car?
As with any fault break it down to what you know. Do you have any power and earth at the relay when indicators on?

sorry its a freelander 1 facelift 2004 ... they sarted working intermitantly. then stoped completley. there seems to be power ... i dont know where the earth points are.

Each indicator bulb has its own earth point, close to the lamps themselves, which are also shared with all the other lights on each corner.

If the issue is only with the hazard lamps, then it's likely an issue with the hazard switch, or in the CCU.

I would check at the relay terminal 85 is perm neg, term 86 is switched pos from indicator stalk. That will check the power from the stalk side of the circuit.
From the relay terminal 30 provides power when needed to the bulbs.
Ignition will need to be on, and to be sure I'd make sure it's in neutral as if you get the starter relay by mistake it will turn the engine over.
I'm not sure how they are numbered on the relay, or holder.
