Indicator wiring

Hello,

Near the end of my series 3 rebuild now, installed new autosparks loom, but having trouble with the indicators.

Don't think i've wired up the relay right, so please correct me or if not help with fault - finding!

I've got a three pin relay with the middle pin going to the stalk, the + pin going to terminal 2 on the fuse box and the - pin going to the chassis to be earthed (guessed negative meant negative earth?). The circuit seems to work fine for the right hand side indicators (relay works fine etc), but nothing at all happens for the left hand side..

I am a complete novice at this, and I apologise for the questions, but all the wiring diagrams i've seen are for two pin relays, so i'm a little stumped, help very much appreciated.

Sounds like the stalk switch is buggered. Or the wiring from the stalk to the LH indicators.

Be carefull on the earthing for bulbs - make sure the wires are not damaged under wings and do a continuity test on earths!
