Any advice really appreciated here having a right old mare..
I'm trying to bypass indicator stalk to see if it's the cause for having no indicators, have tried bridging green/brown, green/red & green/White but getting nowt.
Can anyone tell me how to do this? Do I need a 12v feed? Have had a look at the circuit diagrams in haynes but tbh it makes no sense to me.
Here's the wires..

failing that, can anyone suggest why the indicators don't work??

Bit of background:
hazards work fine, although for some reason on the dash the green light for towing flashes constantly along with indicator green light and hazard red light:

as I've had the towbar off for some time to refit the fuel tank and the cables were supporting some of the towbars weight I looked at both sockets for anything suspect but can't see anything out of the ordinary:

have checked all fuses, the black relay is ticking away when hardards flash with all bulbs lighting up outside the car.
Have pulled out the water reservoir tank and inspected all wires under the bonnet, in drivers footwell and underneath the disco for signs of damage from grinding or the mig but nothing there.
So other than it being the switch itself i've ran out of ideas!!
Anyone who can help me get this disco on the road for an MOT will be on the chrimbo card list for life!!!!! :) :)

Try fitting a towing board to the tow socket and see what happens. The trailer light should flash once unless yu've got a trailer attached. then it should flash in time with indicators.

Brown is live so check to see if it's getting power the hazards should have permanent live indicators etc should be switched live. But yu could bridge the lives and see if that helps at all.

When I lost all the electrics on the disco I checked and was getting live when I switched the ignition on but still wouldn't start & no lights etc when I tried to start it. Further investigation showed that the switched live was failing as soon as I turned the key to start??? so I found another switched live and spliced into that & it's worked perfect ever since.

Thanks redhand, so the green/brown stripy wire in first photo should be switched live?
If so shall try swapping this with a 12v feed to see if I get any lights.
Need to confirm as I don't want to start melting components and making the problem worse!

Green/Brown is the permenant feed, green/white & green/red are left and right, no other wires needed, just ign on obviously

Just seen this n'orl cheers taxed, that'll learn me for replying whilst in Chinese takeaway!!!

Okay direct feed from +ve to grew/brown wire results in left and rhs lighting up when using direction indicators, but neither indicators nor hazards flash!
I'm guessing these an easy way around this..
Thanks for help so far certainly progress!! :)

Do the indicators run off a relay seperate to hazards (I.e in addition to the black relay)?
If anyone can confirm and if so where it's located, then maybe I can target the live feed to relay???
Clutching at straws here!!
Thanks..

Dodgy contact in fusebox, you could have come round 3 days ago and sorted it for us Gratch!!
On a plus side I fitted a nice push button start today :D (low cost way of sorting the damage left by robbing scumbags)

Shall slap a couple of pics on when I get home if you're interested looks pretty tasty (well I think so anyway)
