Ok , I need help as I am going around in circles now.
I have two problems now which are when the hazard switch is in the off position this then connects two cables a green one and a green and yellow one. I have come to the conclusion one of these should have 12v which then goes to indicator flasher etc. My first problem is which of these two should be supplying the 12v and where does it come from ie where is the other end meant to be?
My second is if I add a 12v supply to this set of wires my indicators work but it’s neen so long since I’ve been able to use it I can’t remember if the direction arrows on the dashboard are separate or if the both flash when indicating as that is what mine is doing

Any help really appriated now!

What year classic & is your hazard switch on top of the column or down on the panel near your left knee (assuming UK RHD)?
What are your indicators doing when you try to indicate direction?
Should flash separately when indicating direction.
Will flash together when working as hazards.
If you haven't got one you need a manual with wiring diagram.

Hazard switch is near left knee.
If I don't add a live feed indicators do nothing.
Mine both flash together so then I can assume my live feed is doing something wrong somehow.
Hazards work fine.
I have a Haynes but my wiring has been so butchered it's hard to follow.

I know its a pain in the arse but getting a wiring diagram and going through it and rectifying all faults/bodges is very satisfying.
I did my RRC with the aid of a scrap loom so i could match all the wire colours

Is there any chance you could just take a picture of the wires on the indicator relay ( mine has four pins) so I could be sure I am starting from the right place and then it's a days chasing wires again for me

What year is your RRC?
I'll have a look at my manual when I'm home - mine's a 1986 & has the column switch PRC4606 (dip/main/flash/horn/left & right).
https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-PRC4606
PRC4606 is notorious for overheating with the headlights as their live feed goes through it & it isn't up to it - same issue on other non-LR vehicles that use the same switch. The contacts overheat & melt the plastic. I'm on my 3rd but I relayed the headlights after the 2nd & solved the problem. That said, melting only stopped dip or main working & didn't affect the other functions.

The hazards have a permanent live feed as they work with the keys out & on mine flashes the trailer warning as well - I do have a towbar & 12N/12S electrics.
The indicators are a switched live - i.e they only work with the ignition in the 'run' position.
Fuses all OK?
(I can't do photos as I don't have a phone capable of doing it)

ETA FWIW I have the older Haynes but I bought the LR factory paper manual (SRR660ENWM) as mine is too early for the RAVE disc. Expensive, but has been worth it's weight! Much of the Haynes is a lift from the RR manual but it's nowhere near the factory one.

Looking at your link I think yours has the hazard switch on top of the column?
I think the OPs might be older due to the position of his hazard switch but he hasn't given the year yet.

Quick look in the book for 1986 wiring - my hazard switch is in the 'by the left knee' position.
Flasher unit wiring:
Terminal 49. Has purple with brown trace to the hazard switch.
Terminal 49a. Has Light green with brown trace to the hazard switch. A Light green wire with brown trace goes from this same terminal to the 'steering column switches'.
Terminal 31. Has black wire to earth
Terminal C. Has Light green with purple trace which goes to trailer warning bulb on the dash lights.
You really do need a vehicle specific wiring diagram.

Play with the hazard switch in the off position and see if this kicks the indicators back to life.
Try some wd40 in there as well.
