Hi -I have already searched this site and cannot find anyone who has posted this problem we have.

We just got our 99 Freelander after part exing our old car, but it came with a faulty front nearside indictor. The bulb and holder are fine and I have swapped them over with the F/O/S one to make sure. The side flasher and rear bulb are okay. When the indicator is switched on, it flashes on the working two bulbs twice as fast.

Is there a quick way of fault finding minor problems like this? I have no experience with Land Rovers and hope someone can point me in the right direction. At the moment I am tempted to say it could be a faulty wiring loom. There is also a small yellow relay behind each headlamp. Can anyone tell me what they are for? Please forgive my noobness, but I am concerned about diving in to the car's problems without advice from people more experienced!

Thanks

Reet earthling just had a chat wiff ma mutt [porky] he's got a nvq in leccy , [he's er furra bread] he say's the two yellow fings are infact motors [fer raising yer headlight up or down] flashing fast is an indication of a bulb u/s or an incorrect bulb fitted ,or a poor earth on one or both fittings ,each indicator should have a 21w bulb. . . .if the flasher relay works fer one side it will do the same fer the other [so its not the relay] so bit er fault finding to do . . . .best oh luck earthling :) :) :)
