indicator and rear fog lights defender 90

hello again wondered if someone may have had this problem or could help?
when i turn my indicator to signal right or put my hazards on all work fine but when i turn it to signal left the rear fog light flashes at the same time?
also when i put my lights on and rear fog the left indicator lights up and stays on?
i own a defender 90 e reg,everything else seems ok.
ive checked the fuses but not sure about the relay????

Its shorting out somewhere, i managed to melt the rear loom and it was a bugger. Check all connections first, then disconnect one at a time, see if the left indicator still works if you disconnect the fog light and vice versa...if not, disconnect the front left indicator, see if the rear and fog still flash...you get the picture...Good luck, took me ages on my own running round the back etc...til i put a mirror up behind the landy...Doh!!

Sounds like you have a poor earth at the left rear light cluster try remaking the local chassis connection making sure its on bare metal

Not sure if this is relevant or not but my car's indicators double flash and all my lights inside flash when I put my foot on the break and indicate. This is due to the connector block being slightly corroded and I need new ones but just havent got round to it...

storm,what do u mean by disconecting?
just take the bulb out?

its a bad earth mate...had the same thing on mine...when i indicated the front side light flashed! Check your earths....clean them up!

Yep, take all the earth connections off give em a good clean and check they're grounded properly...as someone said, start with rear corner where the fog light wiring is.
