Imobiliser has locked me out!

Alarm kept going off so I disconnected it, since then the imobiliser has locked me out so I can't get it to start or anything! I bought it 2nd hand and never had the remote, just a key and everything worked fine, until now.
I've been told that I can rewire and bypass the system to get the engine to start, but that the electrics won't work unless I spend a fortune going to a Landy dealership and have the whole (ECU) unit replaced and reprogrammed!

It's really not worth paying that so has anyone else had this problem and do you know how I can fix it without spending a small fortune?

get an auto electrician to bypass the immobiliser and fuel solenoid.

will entering the eka code on the drivers door lock turn the immobiliser off?
