Immoboliser ?

Hi all

Car wouldnt start this morning, unlocked as usual with key fob, turned the ignition, horrendous clicking sound and engine wouldnt even turn over, dont think it is the battery as was used last night and car is used daily, any ideas ?

check the battery first anyway - shd be about 12.7 volts

Starter motor, the contacts on the solenoid burn/corrode and it doesn't engage properly...it just click, click, clicks... sound familar ?

After you've checked the Battery as MHM said of course...start (no pun) with the easy stuff first,

Okay cheers will check those, well peed off, bought from a dealer on finance and hasnt even been a couple of months yet

Your best bet if you need new battery is an OPTIMA ( Red Top ) they are a bit more expensive than normal batteries but are rated 830 CCA ( cold cranking amps ) I have never regretted buying mine, never had problem since, even with only 3 Glow Plugs working, sounds like thats your problem, the clicking you hear is the starter solenoid chattering through lack of battery volts.
