Hi everyone i have a l reg 2.5 diesel with square headlights , the problem is starting,,
it started a few weeks ago i turn the key and nothing then without warning it will start, last week i was leaving work get in turn key , nothing again after 10 mins it decides to work. then it will not start at all, the remote (single button ) seems to work it locks and unlocks, sometimes the alarm will go off for no apparent reason.
i come from the old school of escorts and Cortinas so i tried the wire on the positive side of the battery strait to the back of the ignition and its works fine , only problem is i need to disconnect it to to turn the ignition off .. obviously i wold like to fix this properly , i have looked through here and i think it may be the immobilizer fault so Im gonna try the bypass , but any other hits would help
