Just got back from hospital with the gf.
Gone to start the Disco to get it in the drive and put some new bolts in the tow socket.

Pressed the button to take the alarm off. Indicators flashed, turned the key and nothing.

How do i get the immobiliser off, using the key??
Or rip the whole ####ing thing??

Also need a new door card for the drivers door, since it now has a size 11 print through it.

The left button on the fob has come off. So need to use the key. Already been told by aa i there is a code for the key in the hand book. But suprise suprise it is missing!!!

Easiest quick fix until you can be bothered to wait for sunshine is to take a look at the lift pump; it has an electrical bullet connector going into the solenoid.

When immobilised the fuel pump solenoid is closed so it cannot be started even if jumped, take a length of wire and two bullet connectors, under your steering wheel on the fuse box there is a yellow plastic bracket surrounding pin number 4

plug one end of the bullet connector into this pin and the other length onto the lift pump. Now the solenoid will be open when you turn your key.

You can either bump start it, or run a positive wire to the starter with a fuse and momentary switch to crank the engine.

The engine will then start but the immobiliser light on the dash will stay illuminated as essentially it thinks its stolen. But hey ho drive away and repair when the weather clears up!
