Hi all, I'm a new member so please be patient with me

Attached are few pics of my discovery 1 auto (1998) pump. I believe it's an EDC version.

Problem:
The engine does crank but won't start. My immobiliser is not working. Mechanic Tried everything and told me it's an electrical problem which he can't fix ( car is in The Gambia, hard to find a skilled mechanic with electrical knowledge so I'm stuck). We've temporarily fixed a mechanical pump which works fine but it's a very sluggish drive. I miss the auto drive experience.

I've read on this forum about bypassing the system so as to get power to the pump. I'll like to try and do this myself when I go to The Gambia end of month (Currently in U.K.). I am a novice with cars, however I'm a handy person and willing to give anything a go. Could someone therefore please advice me on the easiest way to bypass the immobiliser n get power to the pump.

I do have 2 other spare pumps which are not EDC. Any further advice on those would be grately appropriated. No jargons please . As plain as possible.

Ps: I'm more curious about the solution with the live fused wire running to the pump.

Thanks in advance
